In reality, for a structure to come into existence, it has to be first designed. This design originates with a concept that is entertained by the architect. So basically, a building is a reflection or a representation of certain ideas that is projected in concrete. Just like a writer has to identify strongly with a fundamental theme around which to create a story, similarly, an architect has to formulate an idea, the sketches and blueprints to create a building.
