Reaching Your Next Destination - Why Work With A Recruiter

One mistake that many people make is only doing career planning when they are forced to do so by outside influences such as a job loses or relocation. It is my contention that you should be spending time working on your future and that involves setting career goals and finding individuals with common interests that can help you make this a realization. The right recruiter is just that kind of resource. Many people complain because the feel that the recruiter does not really care for them and that they have only the customer's best interests at heart not theirs. The fact of life here is that they get their income from the company not the applicant. That being said, the recruiters that have been in business many years know that they can not get this income without having a viable product and good knowledge of that product. Throwing things against the wall to see what sticks does not work. The internet is an excellent tool for getting you together with an opportunity but I have found that it seldom gets you that opportunity with out someone to intercede for you.
