I was reading an interesting story about a small town resident who made a special trip to buy some finished lumber from a local hardware store, to use in a room addition. The lumber, by far wasn't the best quality. The hardware store didn't have convenient parking. The hardware store's prices were substantially higher than the Home Depot's. And the hardware store couldn't offer the do-it-yourselfer any easy financing. Still, the gentleman awarded the local merchant his business, and his reason?
