Many of my past newsletters have focused a serious amount of attention on getting the media to cover your story. Of course, the free publicity you would gain from such a situation inevitably benefits your association, practice or business. However, crafting that ''perfect'' message that will perk the interest of a journalist isn't always a guarantee. You see, I believe that in public relations, you need to have a plan ''B''.
