The Art of Sales and of Persuasion

The business of being a sales professional is crowded with many who never quite understand that sales, more importantly, persuasion, is something that almost anyone can become proficient. However, those who choose the "hard close" or the "half truth method" often gives the professional sales person a bad name. I have worked in professional sales for over fifteen years. I have worked in the financial services industry, in the office product market space, in direct marketing,and in copywriting. What I have learned are three fundamental truths about sales and of persuasion. There is no room for those not interested in excellence at the top of the earnings scale. Those who choose the "hit and run" approach to sales are soon without customers. Their success may be brilliant for a moment, but their star burns too brightly to last a career.
